Matthew Hahn - Co-creator & Artistic Director.

Matthew works as a theatre director and workshop facilitator in the UK and in Africa. He is currently on the staff as a drama lecturer at St. Mary's University College in their Theatre for Development programme along with being a visiting tutor on the Devised Production Course at Goldsmiths College.

He also works with Theatre for a Change, a UK charity which trains teachers and youth workers in Malawi and Ghana through interactive theatre.

His latest directing work includes 'subUrbia' at the Southwark Playhouse and 'The Visitors' workshopping at Central School of Speech and Drama. Matthew is a graduate of the Goldsmiths College Masters in Theatre Directing programme.

Adrian Page - Co-creator

Adrian studied theatre at Goldsmiths. He also spent three years with the Royal Court YWP. In 1998 Adrian established Pear Shaped Productions. They were selected for the National Student Drama festival and the Istrapolitana Festival, Slovakia.

His work has been performed at the Young Vic Studio, Riverside Studios, and the Stephen Joseph Theatre. His play Disco King was produced at Edinburgh in 2004.

Louise Burns - Dramaturg

Louise is Dramaturge, Literary Assistant and Senior Reader for subVERSE.

Educated at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Drama Studio London and King’s College London, Louise has ten years professional experience in the theatre, with acting credits in both England and Canada. She has recently completed her MA in Text and Performance at RADA, excelling in the study of dramaturgy and in the development of new writing.

Candice La Touche - Company Stage Manager

Candice was DSM on 'Crocodile Seeking Refuge' by Sonja Linden. She was then Lighting op on 'The Hot Zone' by Nirjay Mahindru. Both pieces were shown at the Lyric Stusio Hammersmith as part of the MIX season. She then became SM for subVERSE in November 2005. She then was SM on 'The Broken Heart' by John Ford, shown in The White Bear Theatre Club. She was then Assistant Director on 'Steam' by Jason Charles also shown in The White Bear Theatre Club. She then worked as SM for the Garnett Foundation on 'The Leap' by Lisa Evans which waa shown as part of a Diversity training day for Kensington and Chelsea Council.

Phil Hewitt -Technical Director


Maurizio Molino - Publicity/Programme/Current Website Designer

Since passing his Art and Photography A-Levels, Maurizio has designed posters and publicity material for numerous and varied theatrical productions and organisations.

Sheridan Nye - Original Website Designer

Sheridan is a computer and website wizard. When not tweaking code she is a telecom journalist/analyst and post-grad student at the University of Sussex. Previously Sheridan was a Senior Broadcast Engineer for BBC TV News.

Tod Higginson -Technical Director November 2004 - November 2005

As technical director for subVERSE, Tod was responsible for lighting design, soundtrack selection, and photography/video editing. Tod is a Goldsmiths graduated director and video editor.

Multimedia work and DV shorts include "To the Last Syllable of Recorded Time" (multimedia performance installation); "Hommage involontaire à Dziga Vertov" and "We All Find Strength in Something".

Tod was video director on Dan Horrigan's play Orestes for its premiere run at London's "The Space". He worked as sound designer for Hannah Murphy's new play Losing Unity, directed by subVERSE writer Lisa Cagnacci, which following a well-received Edinburgh run enjoyed a revival at Camden's Etcetera Theatre in December 2005. Tod is currently developing a feature-length script for a political thriller which will enter production this year.

Jamie-Glyn Bale - Edinburgh Company Manager

Jamie has worked extensively as Stage Manager, Assistant Director and Technical Manager in the UK, Spain & Russia. Amongst others he has worked with the Liceu de Barcelona, English National Ballet & Teatro Alhambra. His work with LOST theatre includes "To The Woods", "The Wild Party" & "Blue Remembered Hills". This is his fourth visit to the festival since 2001 when he was shown the fringe ropes by "Spasm" !!!

Giuseppe Nieddu - Musician

Guiseppe performed original live didjeridoo music after the subVERSE July and April 2005 shows, and before the March 2005 show.

Paolo Triacci - Camera Operator

Paolo has acted as one of the video operators on all subVERSE shows between November 2004 - June 2005.

Strange Attractor  - Musician

Strange Attractor contributed original electronic music for the soundtracks to the subVERSE June and October 2005 shows.
